Thanks Rontec, For the post.I pulled one of my 19 Xo's to show the jumpers on the ground lugs.I should also add that he upgraded the wire gauge to thicker.The first thing I noticed when I installed was the bass response was awesome much improved.I wanted to keep my original Xo's original so I bought an extra 2 sets from ebay.Had 1 done by Dave and hoping Todd can get to the 2nd pair after the Holidays and maybe use different caps to experiment alittle will see.Regards ~ AB

Best results with the model 19 crossover until now for me is:
LF caps: Solen MF + HF caps Obbligato including Vishay MKP1837 bypass caps
Coils: 2.7 mH NorthCreekMusic 10AWG - .77 mH NorthCreekMusic 12AWG - .33 mH Solen 14AWG

Here's a picture highlighting the rivets at the base of the lugs. The lower right one is obscured by the resistor. This crossover does not show the modification. All that needs to be done is to connect all four lugs with one wire soldered into place thus creating a better ground than the aluminum plate.

Thanks for the pic. Now that I see it I feel kinda ridiculous as it is so obvious! Yes, easy to spot.

As another idea, although bridging with a piece of wire is best....what about shooting some deoxit into these lugs? I'm pretty sure the stuff would seep in between the pieces.

.....at best, it would still seem to be only a mechanical connection subject to oxidation. I would solder a wire from one lug to the next, starting from lug one through four. When I did this it restored the HF levels that I didn't know were significantly missing.

...Also, Russnohio...you can use clip leads (wire with alligator clips) connected to each lug to see if there is any HF change. I would be interested in hearing if you find any difference.

Deoxit was my first thought as well. On second thought, Deoxit *could* be as good as soldering but why not just solder it and not worry if it is as good as it can possibly be?

Use 12 GA 99.99% silver wire and solder with 3% silver...........ok, that's pretty esoteric.
14 GA romex ground wire makes a good buss bar.
Solder with 2% or 3% silver is alaways a good idea. In fact run the heavier gauge wire to the terminal strips on the back of the x-over as well.
